Polyurethane wheels are a mid-to-high-end choice, with a layer of elastic material wrapped around the surface, providing smooth and quiet rolling. These wheels are friendly to floors and won't scratch epoxy or wooden floors, but they are relatively expensive and may wear and deform under prolonged heavy use.
Cast iron wheels have the strongest load-bearing capacity, making them suitable for handling heavy objects. They perform well in heavy-duty environments such as factory floors. However, they can cause significant damage to the ground and may leave marks after long-term use, so it is necessary to use protective pads in conjunction.
Currently, there are niche options available on the market, such as stainless steel wheels and rubber wheels. Stainless steel wheels are resistant to corrosion and suitable for humid environments, while rubber wheels provide good shock absorption but come at a higher cost. When making an actual purchase, it is recommended to consider factors such as the type of floor, the weight being transported, and the budget. There is no absolute best material; only the most suitable choice.
