What exactly makes the nylon-wheel hydraulic pallet truck so good? A seasoned warehouse worker only fully understood after using it for three years.
I’ve been working in dry warehousing for nearly ten years. Over that time, the warehouse carts have been replaced time and again—starting with solid rubber wheels, then switching to pneumatic tires, and now we’re using hydraulic pallet trucks with nylon wheels. To put it simply, after this replacement, the floor is cleaner, it’s quieter, and employees complain less. The advantages of nylon-wheel hydraulic pallet trucks aren’t evident from the specs—they’re discovered through daily use.
My biggest takeaway from the nylon wheels is that they’re lightweight and quiet. On tile floors, epoxy floors, and PVC flooring, it glides almost silently—no scraping and no black marks left behind. Previously, rubber-wheeled carts left streaks of dust all over the floor with every pass, and the janitors had to keep chasing after them to wipe it up. Now, after a whole day, the ground looks as if nothing has been done.
In terms of wear resistance and aging resistance, nylon wheels are indeed far superior to solid rubber. Rubber wheels start to become sticky and crack after just six months, and in winter they get so hard that they’re impossible to push. Nylon wheels do not absorb oil, nor do they absorb.
