As a long-time warehouse employee, I am well aware that pallet jacks are indispensable assistants in daily operations. Proper use of the equipment not only enhances work efficiency but also ensures personal safety. Many novice colleagues often damage the equipment and encounter accidents due to improper operation. Mastering the correct usage is a fundamental skill for every operator, directly impacting both personal and others' safety.

Before starting the equipment each time, carefully inspect all critical components. Check whether the wheels rotate smoothly and if there are any foreign objects entangled; observe the hydraulic system for signs of oil leakage; and ensure the handle controls respond properly. These detailed inspections may seem simple, but they are crucial steps to prevent malfunctions. If any abnormalities are detected, report them immediately and avoid operating the equipment with unresolved issues.

When moving goods, control the speed and direction carefully to avoid sudden turns or abrupt stops that may cause the load to tilt. Ensure smooth starts and stops to prevent sliding. Keep the cart speed moderate, especially in narrow passages where further deceleration is necessary. Lower the center of gravity of the load as much as possible to enhance stability, which is the key to ensuring safe handling. Exercise extra caution on slopes—move in reverse when ascending and push forward when descending to effectively control the vehicle.

After completing the work, park the equipment in the designated area, clear the goods, and return them to their original positions. Regularly add lubricating oil to all moving parts to ensure smooth operation of the equipment. When the equipment is not in use for an extended period, release the air from the hydraulic system. These maintenance measures can significantly extend the service life of the equipment. Conduct monthly inspections of component wear and address any issues promptly, rather than waiting until problems arise before seeking repairs.
